Hubert Delton Griffin, 62, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2014, after years at The Oaks and after weeks of being hospitalized at WK Pierremont, Shreveport, LA. Hubert is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Hoyt Griffin from Atlanta, TX, and his sister, Lanelle Robinson of Atlanta TX.
Hubert is survived by his sons, Rick Griffin, wife Tammy of Lavernia, TX; daughters, Judy Parker and husband Ray of Haughton, LA, Lourie Perez of Phoenix, AZ; Hubert’s brother, James Griffin and wife, Sue, of Tyler, TX; sister, Gayle Coats and husband ,Frankie, of Bloomburg, TX; 14 grandchildren and 19 greatgrands.
Hubert was a man of many talents. He was a truck driver, builder, U.S. Army Veteran, Caddo Reserve Deputy Sheriff, mechanic, dad, granddad and great grandfather. He was a recipient of an Honors Badge for being a sharpshooter with the Caddo Reserve Sheriff’s Dept. He loved hunting, fishing and Dallas Cowboys Football. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Grave side services will be under the direction of Queencity Funeral Home at Beech Creek Cemetery, Atlanta, TX on May 22, 2014, Thursday at 1:00 p.m. All who knew him are welcome.
The family would like to thank those at The Oaks of Louisiana in Shreveport, LA, that cared for our father and those at Willis Knighton Pierremont who cared for our dad during his last few weeks.
