Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington is seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted for theft.

Detectives said Danny Ray Shoemaker, 45, is wanted for stealing several thousand dollars from a victim who hired him to remodel his home after the recent flooding in March. Shoemaker uses Craigslist as a means to find customers for his alleged remodeling business and preys on those that have been affected by the recent flooding.

Shoemaker is a white male, approximately 5’-10” tall, weighs about 200 pounds and has blue eyes and blonde or strawberry hair. Shoemaker has tattoos on his upper left and right arms. He also has scarring on his face, elbow, nose, right knee, and left elbow. Shoemaker is wanted in Texas and Louisiana.
