BOSSIER CITY – Services for Bobby Neyland, 85, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel with Dr. Cliff Estes officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.
Mr. Neyland went to be with his Lord on April 10, 2014. He was born and raised in Shreveport and graduated from Fair Park. He was a service member in the Korean Conflict. Bobby then moved to Bossier City. He worked at Barksdale in the Dental Lab until his retirement. He then ran his own Dental Lab business for many years. Music was his gift. He played for churches, swing bands and for many years in the Shreveport Metropolitan Band.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Derinda Neyland Soignier and his brother, Vernon Neyland.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margie Neyland of Bossier City and son, William Neyland of Benton; three grandsons, Jason and wife Taylor Soignier, Corey Soignier, Riley Neyland; son-in-law, Stephen Soignier and many nieces and nephews.
Honoring Bobby as pallbearers will be Jason Soignier, Corey Soignier, Riley Neyland, Chuck Neyland, Dennis Neyland, Jeff Adams and Dwayne Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Shreveport Metropolitan Band.
