The Bossier All-Stars fell to Pool B champion Texas East 11-1 in the semifinals of the Little League Baseball 50/70 Intermediate Southwest Regional tournament in Grand Junction, Colo.

Bossier went 1-2 in the tournament, defeating host team Three Rivers 20-17 and suffering a tough 11-10 loss to New Mexico in Pool A play before facing Texas East.

Texas East will face Pool B runner-up Texas West for the championship tonight. Texas West defeated Pool A winner New Mexico 18-5 in the other semifinal.

The Bossier All-Stars suffered their first loss in the Little League Baseball 50/70 Intermediate Southwest Regional on Saturday in Grand Junction, Colo., and it was a tough one.

New Mexico scored a run in the top of the seventh inning for an 11-10 victory in Pool A play.

Bossier finished 1-1 in Pool A. New Mexico (2-0) won Pool A with an 18-3 victory over Three Rivers on Sunday.

Bossier faces Pool B Texas East on Monday night one semifinal. Texas East defeated Colorado 25-0 and Texas West 15-4. New Mexico plays Pool B runner-up Texas West. The championship game is Tuesday night.

Bossier rallied from a 9-4 deficit after 4.5 innings against New Mexico. Bossier scored three in the bottom of the fifth to get within two. After New Mexico scored one in the top of the sixth, Bossier scored three more in the bottom of the inning to tie it at 10.

Bossier’s Dax Davis went 2-for-4. Brodie Shankle had an RBI single. Sam Szwak and Andrew Mallory had hits. Dawson Saulters had an RBI.

Bossier can win three-team Pool A with a victory over New Mexico on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Bossier took a 20-9 lead into the final inning then held off a big 3 Rivers rally.

Colby Thomas led Bossier at the plate, going 3-for-6 with a double and five RBI. Joey Hayes also had three hits. Dax Davis and Michael Johnson had two hits and two RBI each.

Brodie Shankle went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI. Hayden Howard had a two-run homer.

Sam Szwak and Reese Seals also had hits.
