The Bossier Knights of Columbus held its 2017 4th Degree Patriot Awards Banquet Apr. 23 and recognized first responders in the community who “work very hard to protect the citizens of our city and parish.”

Dep. Ryan Buttenob, a nine-year veteran with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office currently serving as a patrol deputy, was recognized with the 2017 Patriotic Award as the “Bossier Parish Deputy Sheriff of the Year.”

Francis White, 4th Degree Faithful Navigator, presented Dep. Buttenob with a plaque that read, “For Continuous, Unselfish Dedication to the Residents of Bossier City, Louisiana.”

This is the 5th year that the Knights of Columbus has honored local first responders as a way to say thank you to the men and women who provide selfless service to our community.
