Bossier Fraternal Order of the Police Lodge #39 will hold a charbroil lunch fundraiser this Saturday, August 27, to raise money for a pair of charitable projects.

The Bossier FOP will be selling lunches of hamburgers and sausage from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. (or until the food runs out, whichever comes first) at the office of Shelter Insurance Agent Michael Lambright, 3707 Benton Road in Bossier City.  The public is invited to drop by and purchase lunches for a donation in the amount of their choice. Limited edition Fraternal Order of Police t-shirts will also be available for sale for $20 each.

The money raised from the event will help fund the FOP’s Shop with a Cop program, an annual project where police officers take less fortunate children shopping to purchase toys and clothing for Christmas. A portion of the proceeds from Saturday’s event will also go to help with flood relief efforts in south Louisiana.

The fundraiser is being held thanks to the generous donations and support from Michael Lambright with Shelter Insurance, The Louisiana Meat Store, IHOP Restaurants, Down Home Meats, Brookshire’s and Home Depot.
