The Bossier All-Stars advanced to the Dixie Boys (14s) World Series championship game with a 5-4 victory over Georgia state champ Columbia County on Wednesday morning.

Bossier, which avenged a 10-0 loss to Georgia on Tuesday night, trailed Spring Hill, Fla., 5-3 through 3 1/2 innings in the championship game Wednesday afternoon. The game was delayed by a thunderstorm at about 1:55 p.m. and was set to resume at 6.

Bossier defeated Florida 15-10 in the winners’ bracket finals Monday night.

Bossier’s Will Tynes struck out 13 in the victory over Georgia Wednesday.

Bossier couldn’t get much going against Georgia Tuesday. It had a few opportunities but couldn’t capitalize against some outstanding Georgia pitching.

Christopher Lutterman had a double in the fourth, and Peyton Lewis had a single in the fifth.

Meanwhile, the Bossier 13s were eliminated in the Dixie Jr. Boys tournament, suffering a tough 3-2 loss to Enterprise, Ala., Monday night. Bossier lost to a powerful Hattiesburg, Miss., team 11-1 earlier in the day. Bossier finished the tournament 2-2.

Clint Lasiter went 2-for-3 with a double and triple against Enterprise. Cameron Ross had an RBI single. Hayden Knotts had an RBI.

Lasiter, who had an outstanding tournament, was also the starting pitcher. He allowed just three hits in 4 1/3 innings and struck out six. Knotts allowed just one hit in 1 2/3 innings of relief.

Ross went 2-for-3 against Hattiesburg. Lucas McKain had an RBI double. Lasiter, Peyton Stovall and Grasyn Hull all had singles.
