Parkway swept the individual and team titles in the Calvary cross country meet Saturday.
Defending Class 5A state champion Sara Funderburk won the girls’ title, and Jacob Hammons won the boys’.
Parkway scored a near-perfect 17 points in the girls’ division. Loyola College Prep was second with 66.
Funderburk covered the 3-mile course in 18 minutes, 21 seconds. Funderburk’s teammates Celeste Cordova and Cassidy Cummings finished second and third, respectively, in 19:25 and 19:47.
Mackenzie Langen was fourth in 20:40 and Rylie McConnell seventh in 20:54. Lindsey Hutcheson finished ninth in 21:08.
Parkway easily won the boys’ title with 19 points. Natchitoches Central finished second with 73.
Hammons’ winning time was 15:59. He beat Byrd’s Allen England by three seconds.
Parkway placed six other runners in the top 10 — Cameron Rogers (third, 16:07), Cole Billiot (fourth, 16:17), David Morgan (sixth, 16:45), Christian Nevins (ninth, 16:54) and Brencen Delacruz (10th, 16:55).
