Freshman Paris Washington defeated Barbe’s Ashley Mahoney 6-3, 6-1 in the singles finals.

Jasmin Washington and Addison Blackmon downed Byrd’s Sara Bryan and Anne Duepree in the doubles finals 6-4, 6-4.

The Division I and II state tournaments are Monday and Tuesday at ULM.

Washington faces Kaia Chiasson in the first round.

Both 2017 finalists are back. Mt. Carmel’s Taylor Garcia defeated St. Joseph’s Camille Fremeaux in last year’s title match.

Washington and Blackmon take on a team from Dominican in the first round. Jasmin Washington reached the singles quarterfinals last season.

Airline’s Braden Thibodeaux faces Brother Martin’s Christopher Russo in the first round of the Division I boys singles.

Haughton’s Colten Allen plays St. Thomas Moore’s Ethan Dartez in the first round of the Division II boys singles.

Haughton’s Korbin Schmidt and Cole Melvin take on a team from St. Thomas More in the boys doubles.

Benton qualified two teams in the Division II girls doubles.

Emily Ward and Anna Quinlan face a Morgan City pair in the first round. Sami Martin and Kendall Berney play a Teurlings Catholic team.

Loyola College Prep sophomore Tiffani Nash, a Bossier City resident, was the Division III runner-up last year. She faces Kassidy Terrio of St. Charles in the first round.

The Division III and IV tournaments are Thursday and Friday.
