Benton finished third in the boys and girls divisions in the Ouachita Parish Lions Relays on Friday.

Ouachita Parish swept the team titles, scoring 146 points in the boys division and 122 in the girls.

The Benton boys scored 73 points and the girls 85.

Benton’s Hayley Smith and KeKe West were winners in the girls division.

Smith won the 200-meter dash in 27.65 seconds, defeating runner-up of Ericka Davis of Ruston by .05 seconds.

West won the triple jump with a leap of 35 feet, 10 inches. She also finished third in the long jump with a 16-3.

Peyton Reeder finished second in the 100 hurdles and third in the 300 hurdles. Reeder ran a 16.95 in the 100 and a 51.83 in the 300. Ouachita Christian’s Carlyle Wirtz won the 100 in 15.67, and St. Frederick’s Elizabeth Shackleford took the 300 in 49.94.

Benton posted third-place finishes in the 4X100 and 4X200 relays. Shayla Lee, Smith, Adriana Howard and West ran a 51.62 in the 4X100. Lee, Smith, Breanna Bundy and Georgia Carroway teamed to run a 1:50.60 in the 4X200.

Hannah Parker was the runner-up in the discus with a toss of 89-11. Malorie Gill finished third in the javelin with a 97-5.

Taylor Davis took third in the triple jump with a 35-3.

In the boys division, John Westmoreland finished runner-up in the 110 hurdles in 15.24 and the 300 in 42.05. Ouachita’s Christian Credit swept the events, winning the 110 in 14.90 and the 300 in 40.17.

Dylan Plunkett was second in the javelin with a 142-1

Sean Loftin and JD Carrier finished third in the 800 and 1,600, respectively. Loftin ran a 2:08.48 and Carrier an 11:33.70.

Johntavious Johnson was third in the triple jump with a 40-6.
