The University of Louisiana-Monroe and Ohio Univeristy will face off in the 2012 Advocare V100 Independence Bowl Decl 28 at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast by ESPN.
ULM (8-4) finished in a three-way tie for second in the Sun Belt Conference with Middle Tennessee and Louisiana-Lafayette. Ohio (8-4) finished third in the Mid-American Conference.
LSU (10-2) will face ACC foe Clemson (10-2) in the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta at 7:30 on New Year's Eve. LSU was ranked No. 7 in the final regular-season AP Top 25 and No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll released Friday. Clemson was 14th in the AP poll and 13th in the USA Today poll.
