Parkway, Haughton, Airline, Benton, Loyola and Byrd are in the girls district.
Last season, there were two boys districts with 5A schools in one and 4A and below schools in the other. Huntington and Benton are no longer fielding boys varsity teams, resulting in the realignment.
Parkway and Bossier won district titles last year. The Panthers finished 11-0 overall and Bossier was 11-1.
Airline is the defending girls champion. The Lady Vikings went 10-2 last season. Benton finished second at 9-3.
There are three boys matches scheduled for Thursday.
Parkway faces Loyola, Haughton takes on Minden, and Airline plays Bossier.
Girls varsity competition begins Monday.
