Bill DavisTown: Bossier City

Birth place: Barksdale Air Force Base

Occupation: Public Information Officer, Bossier Sheriff’s Office
Retired Navy journalist and Public Affairs Officer

Family: Wife, four children, four dogs, two puppies and one stuck-up cat.

My hobbies are: Golf, woodworking, socializing and messing with my teen kids.

I drive a: Ford Crown Victoria – duh, work for the Sheriff’s Office.  Also love my GMC truck and 1977 MGB!

My favorite author is: The apostle Paul, who wrote much of the New Testament.

The last book I read: Do movies count?

My idol is: My pastor – Pastor Howard Hall, Shreveport Baptist Church; Fred Sullivan – a deacon in my church…a very Godly man. My good friend, Steve Davis, a retired Navy photo officer, who was such a strong witness of the Lord to me while in the Navy.

My favorite kind of music is: Southern Gospel. Interesting side note, though: After I got saved, I met Sandi Patty backstage at our church in Orlando, and I told her I went from listening to Led Zeppelin to her.  She smiled, then sang, “Another Time, Another Place.”

My favorite performer is: Greater Vision. Oh, and all of the Bill Gaither series. And my wife, I love to hear her sing in church.

My favorite movie is: The Princess Bride.

My favorite TV show is: Whatever my wife watches…

My favorite restaurant is: Olive Garden!

My favorite president is: Abraham Lincoln

The four guests at my fantasy dinner party are: FOX News anchor Megan Kelly, Golfer Payne Stewart, President Ronald Reagan, Moses

My favorite thing about Bossier is: The warm people and the warm climate!

If there's one thing I won't do it's: Try to read and actually stay awake.

My pet peeve is: People who ain’t got no good grammar skills.

When I'm nervous I: Become agitated…so stop asking me more questions.

My favorite memory is: Cutting the umbilical cord of my first child, my eldest daughter.

If I could, I'd write a book about: Parenting, but I’m still learning.

A movie I have walked out on was: I can’t recall the name of the movie, but a few years ago, my family and I walked out on a movie because of the excessive foul language. Why movies have to resort to bad language is beyond me.

You will never catch me wearing: Speedos.

My father and mother would say I'm: A hard worker…and a smart alec.

My friends would say I'm: Big talker, fast talker…the dude loves to talk.
