New officers and jailer join Bossier police

The Bossier City Police Department’s four newest members joined the ranks today during a swearing in ceremony held at police headquarters.

Chief of Police Shane McWilliams administered oaths this morning to Police Officers Gregory James Bailey, Darrin Austin Roberts, Cody Garrett McKellar and Jailer Quatisha Juane Rambo. Bailey joins the BCPD as a certified law enforcement officer from another agency while Roberts, McKellar and Rambo completed their training this week at the Bossier Sheriff’s North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy.

All of them will now enter a 5-week long departmental training program to learn the policies and procedures of the Bossier City Police Department. Following their departmental training, the officers will spend three months riding patrol with Field Training Officers before being assigned to the patrol division. Jailer Rambo will be assigned to the Bossier City Jail upon completing her departmental training.
