PieWorks: truly 'Pizza by Design'

PieWorks: truly 'Pizza by Design'

If you are in the mood for pizza (or a salad, or a sandwich, or pasta for that fact) then head over to PieWorks. The locally-based “Pizza by Design” restaurant is a pie — savory, not sweet — lover's paradise.

With pretty much any topping you can imagine partnered with pretty much any sauce/base you can imagine, there's no way to get bored. Want an alligator, andouille sausage pizza with hot dogs? Don't fret. It can happen at PieWorks. Or you can try one of their several menu combinations.

Their homemade dough and fresh toppings really make their pizza a standout, and their oven toasted sandwiches are just as good. But if you want the hidden gem of PieWorks, it is classified under appetizers.

Their breadsticks are homemade, cheese-dust covered pieces of gold that come with your choice of dipping sauces (I recommend parmesan and peppercorn). They're a must have before your choice of entree.

With locations on Benton Road in Bossier City, Provenance Place Blvd. and Pierremont Road in Shreveport, they have since branched out to Monroe, Mississippi and even North Carolina. The Benton Road location is very modern but cozy. I can really see myself going there to not only eat, but watch a game at the bar and just hang out for a while. And their super courteous and responsive wait staff definitely make sure you will not go wanting while there.

So the next time your thinking about running out for pick up, try dining in at PieWorks. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
