Cope, Elm Grove and Greenacres swept their opponents in Bossier Parish middle school girls basketball play Thursday evening.
In eighth-grade games, Cope edged Rusheon 28-25 at Cope, Elm Grove downed Benton 31-17 at Elm Grove and Greenacres defeated Haughton 26-10 at Greenacres.
In seventh-grade games, Cope downed Rusheon 28-12, Elm Grove defeated Benton and Greenacres edged Haughton 21-19 in overtime.
At Cope, Meaux Carroll led the Lady Cougars to the eighth-grade victory with 15 points. Jamaiya Cooper added six.
Adreonia Smallwood paced Rusheon with 12 points.
Atum Boyd tossed in 13 points for the victorious Cope seventh-grade team. A’niya Hudson added seven.
Zanyah Lefear led Rusheon with 10 points.
At Elm Grove, Mikayla Williams poured in 25 points to lead the Lady Eagles eighth-grade squad to the victory.
Chloe Larry scored 14 points and Jayla James 10 for the victorious Elm Grove seventh-grade team. Makiyah Taylor added four.
At Greenacres, balanced scoring helped the Lady Mustangs win the eighth-grade game. Catherine Dupree scored eight points, Katie Kent six and Kaleigh Cathey five. Markayla Blade and Jacqueline Clem combined for four.
The seventh-grade game was tied at 18 at the end of regulation. Paige Marshall had a big game for the Lady Mustangs, scoring 17 points. Erin Harrell hit a 3-pointer. Rachel Burns hit a big free throw in overtime.
