BENTON – Services for Noel Ferguson, 91, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Beadle, pastor of First Baptist Church of Benton, where Mr. Ferguson was a member and a deacon. Committal services will be at 2 p.m. at Village Community Cemetery, Village, AR. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.
Noel Ferguson was born to John William and Gracie Inez Pyle Ferguson on April 22, 1923 in Columbia County, AR and died April 23, 2014 in Benton, LA. He was a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Air Force and served as a pilot in WWII and Korea. He retired from Shell Oil as a production foreman after 33 years and also retired from Superior and Mobil Oil.
Preceding Noel in death are his wife, Clara Faye Phillips Ferguson; an infant daughter; his parents; brothers, Mike Ferguson, Roy Ferguson and stepmother, Mattie Maness.
Noel is survived by his daughters, Tanna Ferguson Cox and husband David of Colorado Springs, CO, Twanna Ferguson of Benton, LA; grandchildren, Brandon Thomas Cox of Colorado Springs, CO, Kristen Michelle Cox Hansen and husband Steve of Saguache, CO; great grandchildren, Dillon Thomas Cox and Gavin Anthony Cox, both of Colorado Springs, CO; siblings, Virginia Knippers of Cortex, CO, Owen “Buddy” Ferguson of Morris, IL, Catherine McCarty and husband Rev. Doran McCarty of San Augustine, FL, Dorothy Brasher of Jacksonville, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
