BOSSIER CITY – Services for Flora Bouso, 87, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Asbury United Methodist Church of Bossier City, LA with Rev. Dr. R.L. Bethley officiating.
Flora was born on February 2, 1928 and passed away on November 26, 2015. She was married to Joe Bouso for 63 years. She began work at the Royal Bank of Canada in Havana, Cuba where she and Joe met, and after coming to the United States in 1961, worked at Arkla Gas for 20 years. After retiring from Arkla Gas, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Bossier General Hospital for many years. She also was an interpreter for the Bossier Parish School Board, which she enjoyed immensely. Flora and Joe’s life centered around their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They also enjoyed traveling for many years.
Flora is preceded in death by her grandson Jonathan Alan Bouso and her husband Joe Bouso. Joe passed away only four days prior to Flora. They simply could not live without each other.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Machen and husband D.C.; Son, Tony Bouso and wife Janet; grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer Bouso and husband Jonathan Poole, Laura McDonald and husband Drew, Emily Haas and husband Chris, Dr. Kyle Machen and wife Lori, Leigh Chamberlain and husband Brett; great grandchildren, Molly, Lanie, and Lindy Machen, Kyleigh and Machen White, Ethan, Emma, and Evan Chamberlain.
