BOSSIER CITY – Jessie Mae “Jet” Turner, age 92, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away August 25, 2018 peacefully at her home. She was born on January 26, 1926 in Minden, Louisiana to William Robert and Willie Ethel Manis.
She worked for Palais Royal for seventeen years, and retired from Blaylock Investments after twenty-five years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Sammy Coffin (World War II casualty); husband Willie Burt Turner, Jr.; six brothers Albert, Glenn, Johnny, Wilbur, Jimmy, and Freddie Manis; one sister Thelma Loper.
She is survived by two sons Ronnie Turner and Rickey Turner and wife Penney; Grandchildren Kayla Whilite, Derek Turner, Karla Walburn, Lori Myers; Great Grandchildren Tyler Sullivan, Cody Whilite, Hayden Turner, Darby Turner, Brandon Walburn, Dakota Walburn, Zach Walburn, and Julie Myers; Great Great Grandchildren Tyler Sullivan, Jr., Stella Myers. Also surviving is her lifelong best friend of sixty plus years Bessie Atkins.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, September 1st at Aulds Funeral Home.
