Business, Industry, Commerce. Such is the mission of a Chamber of Commerce. Making connections – helping businesses grow.
By definition, according to Wikipedia, “a Chamber of Commerce (or Board of Trade) is a form of business network, e.g., a local organization of businesses whose goal is to further the interests of business.” Hmmmm……furthering the interests of businesses, that’s exactly what our Bossier Chamber of Commerce does in so many meaningful ways!
In my opinion, there was never a better example or display of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce fulfilling a major part of it’s mission than at the 67th Annual Bossier Chamber Gala (Banquet) held on Tuesday night January 27th at Bossier City’s CenturyLink Center. Our BPT ownership, management team and sales staff were in attendance at the Gala and we had a great time! During my years at BPT, I have attended many Bossier Chamber Galas. However, this year was one of the best ever and this year’s event was completely sold out with some 700 attendees!
Our Chamber of Commerce works extremely hard for our city, parish and community everyday. As such, Bossier Chamber President/CEO Lisa Johnson and her staff at the Bossier Chamber of Commerce deserve major applause for the work that they do each and every day to move our community forward! Most certainly, our Bossier Chamber of Commerce is a major part of what keeps us growing as a community!! The networking and business growth opportunities afforded to area businesses as a result of their membership in the Bossier Chamber of Commerce are unparalleled. Also, the business resources offered by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce are numerous and most helpful to their business members!
At the BPT, we both support and believe in the mission of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. And, we have seen the Bossier Chamber in action in a variety of ways. Our company President and owner (David Specht) is a long time Bossier Chamber Board member and will serve as Chairman of the Bossier Chamber Board of Directors for 2016. Furthermore, I served as a Diplomat volunteer for the Bossier Chamber for 12 years and as Diplomat Chair in 2010. Several of our salespeople have served as Diplomat volunteers through recent years as well! The Bossier Chamber’s Diplomat organization does a wonderful job assisting with the efforts of the Chamber’s mission!
So, BPT salutes our Bossier Chamber of Commerce for the wonderful job that they do for all of their member businesses and our entire community each and every day throughout their long history and well into the future!
