Parkway quarterback Brandon Harris has been invited to play in the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
The all-star game, featuring the top players in the nation in the Class of 2014, is scheduled for Jan. 4 at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas. It will be televised nationally by NBC.
A few of the future college and NFL standouts who have played in the game are Andrew Luck, Tim Tebow, Jamaal Charles, Percy Harvin, Patrick Peterson, AJ McCarron and De’Anthony Thomas.
Harris, who will be a senior this fall, has also been invited to play in the Under Armour All-America Game scheduled for Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Harris passed for 2,093 and 23 touchdowns during Parkway’s 9-1 regular season last year. He led the Panthers to the quarterfinals of the Class 5A playoffs where they lost to eventual state runner-up Barbe 45-35.
He was ranked as the No. 48 college prospect in the country in ESPN’s most recent top 300 list.
247sports.com, a website that focuses on recruiting, ranks him as the top dual-threat quarterback in the nation.
