Janey Wise and Joseph Alan Maker were united in marriage at First United Methodist Church of Bossier Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2 p.m. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Uriah Oxford.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Betty Wise of Benton. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Grover Guy and Mrs. Mary Lynn Dalrymple Wise and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Draper. She is a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School and Louisiana State University Shreveport.
The groom is the son of James and Carmen Maker of Benton. He is a graduate of Airline High School.
The bride was given away by her father, Larry Wise. She wore an ivory gown with a sequined veil and carried a pool blue/white floral bouquet.
She was attended to by Maid of Honor Leigh Anne Liles and bridesmaids Margaret Wise, Alexa Mullings, and Kati Lewter.
Adan Magana served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Colby Hillen, David Jarrett, and Evan Kostelka.
Floral girls were Anna Tappel and Lauren Tappel. Candle lighter was Alissa Little.
Music was provided by violinist Lydia Davis, organist Earl Stanage, and soloists Kati Lewter and Mike Crawford.
Decorations in the church were greenery, white floral centerpiece, and pool blue/white flowers.
The reception was held at First Methodist Church of Bossier’s Fellowship Hall decorated with floral centerpieces.
The couple will honeymoon in Branson, Missouri and make their home in Benton.
