Women’s college basketball: BPCC heads to Florida for two games

The Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavs will look to end a three-game slide when they face Chipola Colllege in a non-conference game Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Panama City, Fla.

The game will be held at Gulf Coast State College. The Lady Cavs play Gulf Coast State at 5 p.m. Thursday.

BPCC (5-6, 2-3 Region XIV) fell to Tyler Junior College 97-73 in its last outing Saturday at BPCC.

Ashlyn Jacobs had 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Lady Cavs. T’Erika Bell scored 15 points, and Samarius Colquitt chipped in with 11.

BPCC lost to Angelina College 77-66 on Dec. 7 in Lufin, Texas. Jacobs and Savannah Thomas scored 14 each. Colquitt added 12.

The three-game slide started on Dec. 3 with an 84-71 loss to Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. Jacobs scored 22 points. Regina Scott and Savannah Scott had seven each.
