318 Restaurant Week to celebrate local restaurants March 14-18

The second installment of 318 Restaurant Week, a citywide promotion designed to highlight outstanding local chefs and restaurants in Shreveport and Bossier City, will be held, March 14-18.

More than 35 participating restaurants will offer fixed-price meals for $10 at lunch and $20 at dinner, while 12 special, one-night-only dining experiences will give food lovers the opportunity to meet and talk with acclaimed local chefs during interactive dining experiences.

“The goal of 318 Restaurant Week is to promote our local dining scene and introduce these amazing restaurants to locals and visitors in an exciting new way,” said Brandy Evans, Vice President of Communications for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau. “Local restaurants contribute so much to the identity of a destination – especially here in Louisiana.”

Tickets for the one-night-only dining experiences are available now and must be purchased in advance at www.318RestaurantWeek.com. Special experiences offered during 318 Restaurant Week range from casual to fine dining. Many events incorporate educational talks, cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and more. The cost to attend these experiences ranges from $15 to $60 per person. Each special event will be hosted by a local food ambassador.

318 Restaurant Week will also include a series of chef-guided culinary tours of Shreveport and Bossier City hosted by Chef Hardette Harris. Harris’s “Pure Louisiana Soul” – Food Tours will be held, 5-8:30 p.m., March 14-16. Each of the nightly tours will feature an educational cooking demonstration by Chef Harris, as well as stops at three acclaimed local eateries. Tour tickets are $50 per night with a limit of 25 guests per night.
