High school boys wrestling: Haughton splits matches in home tri-meet

Haughton opened its season Thursday night with a split of two matches in a tri-meet at Haughton.

The Bucs defeated Caddo Magnet 54-24 and lost to Byrd 41-35.

Haughton’s winners against Caddo Magnet were Zander Hobson (113), Will Haun (126), J’Den Harrison (138), David Rabb (150), Bryce Johns (165), Jacob Peterman (175), Travis Gray (190), Ben Beaudean (185) and Brogen Dodd (185).

Haun, Harrison, Rabb, Beaudean and Dodd all pinned their opponents. The rest were forfeits.

Haughton’s winners against Byrd were Hobson (113), Haun (126), Rabb (150), Peterman (175), Beaudean (215) and Dodd (285).

Hobson and Haun pinned their opponents. Rabb won 18-1 (technical fall).

Haughton is hosting a tournament Saturday.
