High school wrestling: Airline’s Walker wins 215-pound class in Texas tournament

Airline’s Danon Walker won the 215-pound weight class in the Reece’s Warrior Invitational Saturday in Arlington, Texas.

Walker pinned Aiden Mayne of Little Elm in 40 seconds. He also pinned his previous four opponents.

Walker finished third in the 215-pound class in the Division I state meet last season.

Airline’s Michael Finders was third in the 120-pound class Saturday.

He won his first match then lost in the quarterfinals. Finders won three matches in the consolation bracket to reach the third-place match where he pinned Grayson of Melissa in 2:22.

Airline finished eighth in the team standings.
