High school basketball: Bossier boys, Benton boys and girls post victories in David Bryant Memorial Classic

The Bossier boys and the Benton boys and girls were winners in the third annual David Bryant Memorial Classic Saturday at BPCC.

The Bearkats defeated Airline 54-27 for its third straight victory.

The Tigers downed Plain Dealing 61-8 and the Lady Tigers defeated Bossier 55-39.

Kerel Dean and JaTravian Bunnery led Bossier (3-1) with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Lajerrion Benjamin added nine.

Airline dropped to 2-4.

Jannah Carter led the Benton girls with 23 points and 10 steals. Taylor Brown had 12 points and six rebounds. Kryshna Bostic scored nine.

The Lady Tigers improved to 3-2. The Lady Kats dropped to 2-3.

The Benton boys improved to 1-1.

In another girls game, short-handed Plain Dealing fell to Captain Shreve 70-10. The Lady Lions are 3-2.

In boys games, Green Oaks edged Woodlawn 47-45, and Red River defeated North Caddo 87-72.

Elsewhere, the Parkway girls improved to 6-0 with a 52-23 victory over French Settlement in the LGR Road To State event in Thibodaux.

Dakota Howard and Savannah Wilson led the Lady Panthers with 15 points each. Zara Baker added nine.
