The Benton Lady Tigers and Plain Dealing Lady Lions won Thursday.
Benton defeated Marksville 60-37 for its second win in as many days in the ASH tournament in Alexandria. Plain Dealing rolled past Lakeside 56-35 at Plain Dealing.
Elsewhere, Bossier fell to Calvary Baptist 58-48 at Calvary.
Bella Wiese and Addison Morris led Benton (9-3) with 12 points each. Morris also had six rebounds.
Sugar Sanchez had 10 rebounds and eight points. Emily Stephens scored eight.
The Lady Tigers continue play in the tournament against Oakdale Friday at 3 p.m.
At Plain Dealing, Jakayla Douglas poured in 36 points to lead the Lady Lions (7-4). Brianna Newton added 10.
Plain Dealing Coach Robby Lockwood cited Janiya Douglas for her defensive play.
Jakayla Douglas scored 18 in the first half and the Lady Lions led 28-20.
She scored seven in the third quarter and Plain Dealing limited Lakeside to four points. Douglas scored 11 in the fourth.
Plain Dealing visits Many Monday.
At Calvary, Bossier’s Zamarion Carter continued her strong start with 29 points. She had 20 in the second half.
Bossier visits Airline Friday.
