High school girls basketball: Haughton, Parkway win on final day of tournaments

The Haughton Lady Bucs and Parkway Lady Panthers completed tournaments with victories Saturday.

Haughton improved to 13-0 with a 50-32 victory over Quitman in the Cedar Creek tournament. Parkway improved to 12-1 with a 68-35 victory over Oak Hill in the ASH tournament.

Skylar Branch led the Lady Bucs with 14 points. Shaniya Perkins and Ka’Mya Turner had 11 and 10, respectively. Bella Hammond chipped in nine.

Haughton visits Weston Tuesday.

Eight Lady Panthers scored in Parkway’s victory. Dakota Howard led the team with 20 points. Khia Thomas had 13 and Savannah Wilson 12. Jasmyne Hendrix added nine.

Parkway hosts Huntington Tuesday.
