On Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, Joshua Robinson, vice president of marketing for Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, spoke at the North Bossier Lunch Group about the soon-to-open property in Bossier City and its anticipated impact on the community. The luncheon was held at the Bossier Parish School for Technology and Innovative Learning (BPSTIL), with catering provided by BPSTIL’s Culinary Arts Department.
The event served as a platform for local business leaders, stakeholders, and community members to network and learn about the $270 million gaming and entertainment destination, set to open Feb. 13, 2025.
“We’re not just a casino. We’re not just a collection of restaurants. We’re not just a hotel. We are an entertainment destination,” Robinson said.
“We will have live entertainment on our property somewhere in that building every single day of the week. We are not just a casino. We are an experience,” he added.
The North Bossier Lunch Group brings together individuals passionate about the region’s growth and development, providing opportunities to stay informed about transformative projects like Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana.
The property, which will be the first completely land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market, is expected to bring substantial economic and social benefits to the area. The project is projected to generate more than $35 million in gaming tax revenues for Bossier City and $168 million for Louisiana over its first five years of operation. Additionally, the casino will create more than 750 permanent jobs in the local gaming and hospitality industry, contributing approximately $34 million annually to the local economy through salaries, wages, and tips.
Upon opening, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will feature more than 47,000 square feet of gaming space, housing over 1,000 slot machines, 40 live-action table games, and a sportsbook. The upscale, 550-room hotel will include amenities such as a resort-style pool and fitness center. A 25,000-square-foot event center will host concerts, conventions, and other large-scale events.
Guests can also look forward to a variety of dining and entertainment options across 30,000 square feet, including The Prime Rib® steakhouse, Sports & Social, PBR Cowboy Bar, Luk Fu, and Ridotto Grand Café.
Wednesday’s luncheon highlighted the casino’s role in driving economic growth and enhancing the entertainment landscape of Bossier City and the region. Attendees at the luncheon left with a deeper understanding of the casino project’s potential to transform the local community and economy.
