The final game of a three-game series between Haughton and Ruston was postponed. A game between Bossier and Plain Dealing was also postponed.
At Benton, the Tigers (2-0) scored four in the first, two in the second and four in the third.
Cole Snell went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI. Hayden Millen went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Case Jorden had a double and drew two walks. Jackson Jones had a double.
Starter Tanner Webb allowed three hits in four innings for the win. Colton Birdsong pitched the fifth.
Benton is scheduled to play St. Mary’s in Natchitoches at 10 a.m. Saturday and St. Edmund’s at Many at noon.
