The 6th Annual i3 Art Expo brought an explosion of creativity and innovation to the Bossier Civic Center from Feb. 27 to March 1, celebrating this year’s expo theme, Louisiana Lagniappe. The three-day, free event, hosted by Bossier Schools, showcased student talent through a dynamic blend of art, science and technology with an emphasis on STEAM—science, technology, engineering, the arts and math.
From stunning visual art displays to theater and film competitions, the i3 Art Expo captivated attendees with its diverse lineup of events. One of the biggest highlights was the iCANstruction competition, where students used canned goods to build impressive structures, merging creativity with community service.
A major crowd-pleaser was the Mic Drop lip-sync competition, which once again packed the house with high-energy performances. Cyber Night, an interactive showcase of the latest in cybersecurity and digital innovation, drew in tech enthusiasts, while hands-on exhibits by Sci-Port, STARBASE and Bossier Parish Libraries provided engaging learning experiences for visitors of all ages.
New to this year’s expo, the Talented Arts Program debuted its performance of Louisiana Saturday Night, celebrating the state’s vibrant culture through music and dance. Another fresh addition was the Trashion Show, a fashion show where students turned recyclable materials into cutting-edge fashion, proving that sustainability and creativity go hand in hand.
i3 Art Expo attendees also enjoyed an interactive book fair, along with numerous hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and imagination in young minds.
With yet another successful year in the books, the i3 Art Expo continues to shine as a premier event during the Bossier Parish school year highlighting the incredible talent, creativity and ingenuity of Bossier Parish public school students.
