Bossier City Police received a call at 6:19 this morning of a person hit by a vehicle in the 3800
Blk of E. Texas near Mary Kay Street. Officers arrived on scene to find an approximately 34 y/o
white male that had been hit by a truck. The pedestrian’s injuries were fatal. Traffic was blocked
in the E. Bound lane while the accident was being investigated. The victim’s identity is being
withheld pending notification of the family. Bossier City Police Chief Daniel Haugen said that
he is sadden to see the loss of life due to traffic injuries and he reminds “both drivers and
pedestrians to be careful and always looking out for the safety of others.” This accident is still
under investigation.
