The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the following nighttime lane/ramp closures have been scheduled along I-20 in Bossier and Caddo Parishes for the purpose of crash attenuator repair.
- I-20 westbound to Spring Street (Exit 19A) – ramp closure
- I-20 westbound to Common St/Louisiana Ave (Exit 18-D) – ramp closure
- I-20 westbound on-ramp from Traffic Street – lane closure
These closures will take place from approximately 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 and reopen no later than 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
A crash attenuator, also known as an impact attenuator, is a device intended to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles and lessen injuries to motorists resulting from a collision. These devices are designed to adsorb the colliding vehicle’s energy.
