The Bossier City Fire Department responded quickly and effectively to an apartment fire Thursday evening at the Parkland Villa Apartments located at 3160 Shed Road. The emergency call came in at 6:42 p.m., and within four minutes, the first unit arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and visible flames.

The fire, which appeared to have originated in the breezeway between a first and second story section of the complex, affected four upstairs units, causing significant fire and smoke damage. One resident, a woman who became trapped in her apartment during the blaze, was rescued by firefighters using a ladder. Thanks to the rapid response of the department, she was safely removed with no reported injuries.

A total of 15 units from the Bossier City Fire Department responded to the call. Crews worked quickly to contain the fire, bringing it under control by 6:57 p.m.—just 15 minutes after arriving on scene.

No other injuries were reported, and all residents were accounted for. Fire investigators remained on site into the evening to determine the cause of the blaze, which remains under investigation.

The swift response and life-saving actions taken by the Bossier City Fire Department underscore their continued commitment to the safety and protection of the local community.
