Cheers, tears and proud smiles filled the Brookshire Grocery Arena on Saturday, May 17, as the five of the six senior classes at Bossier Parish’s public high schools turned their tassels and stepped boldly into the future. The graduation ceremony marked a milestone not only for the students but also for the families, teachers and community members who supported them along the way.
The commencement ceremonies were held at Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City on May 17, creating a day filled with pride and recognition for high school senior classes across Bossier Parish. The event included all Bossier Parish public high schools except for Plain Dealing High School, which held their graduation ceremony on Friday evening May 16.
The culmination of four years of perseverance, learning and growth, the ceremony honored the achievements of students who navigated their high school years through many challenges and triumphs. From academic accolades to athletic and extracurricular accomplishments, the Class of 2025 embodied the spirit and resilience of their school community.
Prior to graduation day, Bossier Parish Schools Superintendent Jason Rowland offered words of encouragement and pride for all Bossier Parish graduates, stating:
“We are so proud of the Class of 2025 and all they have accomplished to get to graduation day and this point in their lives. This is not the end, though. This is the beginning of their next journey, wherever that takes them, and Bossier Schools is eager to see them spread their wings and soar to new heights.”
As each graduate crossed the stage, they were met with applause and celebration—a testament to the support network that carried them through their educational journey. Families and friends looked on, capturing memories and savoring the moment that marked the close of one chapter and the beginning of another.
With diplomas in hand and dreams ahead, the senior classes from the six public high schools across Bossier Parish now move forward—into college, careers, the military and beyond—ready to leave their mark on the world.
