Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is proud to announce that its Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program has earned the highest NCLEX pass rate among all ASN programs in the state of Louisiana, as reported in the second quarter edition of The Examiner, published by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN). With an exceptional 98.72% pass rate, BPCC’s program is not only leading among all two-year colleges—it ranks ahead of both two-year and four-year institutions statewide.

This extraordinary achievement highlights the exceptional preparation and unwavering commitment of BPCC’s faculty, staff, and students in the Division of Nursing and Allied Health.

“This recognition is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our students, the passion and expertise of our faculty, and the comprehensive support system we’ve built at BPCC,” said Michael Whitaker, Dean of Nursing and Allied Health. “We are committed to delivering a program that not only meets but exceeds national standards, and this top NCLEX pass rate affirms that we’re doing just that. Our graduates are going into the workforce fully prepared to make a difference in the lives of patients and in their communities.”

The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is the final step for nursing graduates before entering the profession as licensed registered nurses. High pass rates are a benchmark of a program’s quality and its ability to prepare students for real-world healthcare settings.

Chancellor Dr. Rick Bateman, Jr. also praised the program’s success: “This distinction reflects the excellence that defines Bossier Parish Community College. BPCC’s nursing program has long been known for its innovation and academic rigor, and now we can proudly say it stands at the very top in Louisiana. We are proud of our students, faculty, and staff who have made this milestone possible.”

BPCC’s nursing program combines cutting-edge instruction, clinical experience, and personalized support to ensure graduates are workforce-ready and prepared to meet the demands of today’s healthcare landscape. This latest accolade further solidifies BPCC’s reputation as a leading institution for nursing education in the state and the region.
