Bossier City has issued a boil advisory for Bossier water customers residing in the Madison Place neighborhood. On yesterday Bossier Maintenance crews responded to a blowout of an 8 inch water main at the corner of Heritage and Melissa Drive. Repair work has been completed and the water Dept. is awaiting the results of the samples before the advisory is lifted. The advisory is precautionary and Bossier City recommends that citizens will boil their water for 1 minute before consuming it. This advisory applies only to water for consumption. Again this is an advisory it is not a boil order. Customers will be notified when the advisory is rescinded.
