The Bossier Bearkats fell to Evan Gordon III (EG3) Preparatory Academy 84-70 in the semifinals of the 86th annual Bossier Invitational Saturday afternoon at Bossier High.
EG3 went on to edge Huntington 65-64 in the championship game Saturday night. Bossier fell to Ruston 64-46 in the third-place game.
In the other semifinal, Huntington defeated Ruston 93-90 in a double-overtime thriller.
Ron Dillard scored 37 points to lead Bossier against EG3.
The Bearkats trailed 22-15 after the first quarter and 43-26 at the half. Bossier rallied in the second half behind Dillard’s 24 points.
The Bearkats (11-5) got as close as eight points with 1:10 left in the game but that was as close as they would get.
