The days and times for most first-round playoff games involving parish schools have been set.
Three parish schools will be at home in the first round.
In girls Division I, No. 5 seed Benton (19-4) hosts No. 28 Ponchatoula (3-10-3) Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
In girls Division II, No. 16 Parkway (11-7-1) hosts No. 17 Lakeshore (5-10-3) Saturday at 3 at Preston Crownover Stadium.
In boys Division III, No. 8 Bossier (9-7-3) hosts No. 25 DeRidder (3-12-3) Thursday at 5:30 at Memorial Stadium.
The three other parish teams will be on the road.
In boys Division I, District 1 champion and No. 24 Benton (12-6-3) faces No. 9 East Ascension (12-4-5) Friday at 5 in Gonzalez.
In girls Division I, No. 29 Haughton (8-8-1) visits No. 4 Denham Springs Thursday at 5:30.
In girls Division III girls, No. 29 Bossier (5-11-1) faces No. 4 University Lab (11-2-4) in Baton Rouge. The day and time hadn’t been posted on the LHSAA website At the time of this post.
