The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that occurred
yesterday evening following a boys’ soccer game at Bossier High School involving
Bossier High School and Morgan City High School boys’ soccer teams.
After the conclusion a closely contested game, a physical altercation broke out
involving multiple students from both teams. During the incident, Micah
Wilkerson, a student from Morgan City High School, is alleged to have struck a
Bossier High School player, resulting in injury.
As a result of the investigation, Mr. Wilkerson has been arrested and charged with
second degree battery. He was taken into custody by the St. Mary’s Parish
Sheriff’s Office and transported to the St. Mary’s Parish jail. He is currently being
held on a $10,000.00 bond. Bossier Parish Sheriff’s deputies will take custody of
Mr. Wilkerson to face his charges in Bossier Parish.
This incident remains under investigation. The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office is
working closely with the St. Mary’s Parish Sheriff’s Office, and school officials to
gather more information.
