Haughton defeated Northwood 5-1 in the second of their three-game series at Haughton. Parkway defeated Winnfield 3-0 in the Lakeside tournament.
Benton defeated Atlanta, Texas, 10-0 and tied Hooks, Texas, 6-6 in the Texas High tournament.
Providence Classical Academy split a doubleheader at Converse, losing the first game 9-0 and winning the second 10-8.
Plain Dealing defeated Summerfield 19-3 at Plain Dealing. Airline fell to Pine Tree, Texas, 4-1 at the Lakeside tournament.
At Haughton, Ashton Neighbors pitched a complete game. He allowed four hits, struck out 12 and walked four.
CT Woodard went 2-for-4 with a double. Drake Cooper had two RBI. Maddox Williams had an RBI-triple.
The Bucs (8-4) and Falcons (8-4) are scheduled to complete the series Saturday at 1 at Northwood.
At the Lakeside tournament, Parkway’s Brayden Scott and Brylan Washington combined on a two-hitter. Scott allowed two hits, struck out five and walked one in five innings. Washington struck out three and walked none in two.
Dallas Loche went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Jax Thomson and Kingston Meza had one double each. Meza also drew two walks.
Parkway (3-7) completes play in the tournament against Lakeside Friday at 4.
Airline’s Brock Jordan went 2-for-3 against Pine Tree. Austin Smith went 2-for-4. Leo Heng struck out seven and walked one in 6 1/3 innings.
Airline (4-8) completes play in the tournament against Winnfield Saturday at noon.
At the Texas High tournament, Slade Stephens and Bud Burns combined on a five-inning one-hitter against Atlanta. Stephens allowed no hits or walks and struck out four in two innings. Burns allowed one hit, struck out five and walked one in three innings.
Brody Turnipseed went 3-for-4. Case Jorden went 2-for-3.
The Tigers led Hooks 6-3 after six but the Hornets tied it with three in the top of the seventh.
Cole Snell went 3-for-4 with a double. Hayden Millen went 2-for-4.
Benton (9-2-1) completes play in the tournament against Liberty-Eylau Saturday at 1:30.
At Converse, Kellen Beale went 4-for-4 with three RBI in PCA’s win. Tanner Stinson went 3-for-3 with a double. David Mobley went 3-for-5 with a triple and double.
Brady Skaggs had two hits. Braden Willis had a double and two RBI.
Beale pitched 3 1/3 innings of relief for the win. He gave up three hits and walked one. Starter Joe Barrish went 3 2/3. PCA is 2-4.
