Benton finished runner-up in the girls division in the Airline Viking Relays Thursday at Airline.
Benton scored 92.5 points. North DeSoto won with 100. Airline and Parkway tied for third with 62.
Airline and Benton finished third and fourth, respectively, in the boys division with 82 and 71 points. West Monroe won with 104. Tioga was second with 82.
Girls
Benton’s Claire Allen won the girls 1,600 in 5:41.53. Parkway’s Caylee Weaver was second in 5:51.59.
Benton’s Ryleigh McCoy took the pole vault with a vault of 10-0, three feet higher than her nearest competitors.
Haughton’s Skylar Hogan won the 100 hurdles in 16.28. West Monroe’s Avery Miletello was second in 16.79.
Haughton’s Clara Hicks and Alyssa Giddings finished 1-2 in the 3,200 in 13:0813 and 13:39.13, respectively.
Parkway’s Zara Baker-Scanlon and Destinee Lacour finished 1-2 in the 400 in 1:00.69 and 1:00.94, respectively.
Parkway’s Zaniyah Carter captured the discus with a throw of 104-4.5, 3.5 inches farther than runner-up Aaliyah Hayes of West Monroe.
Airline’s Shelby Ledet won the high jump with a 5-5, one inch higher than the best jumps of Tioga’s Naomi Dishmon and Shawniya Dishmon.
Bossier’s Zamarion Carter took second in the 300 hurdles in 48.75. Naomi Dishmon won in 46.21.
Parkway’s Khaliyla Harris was second in the 800 in 2:36.73. North DeSoto’s Macaylah Tingle won in 2:26.57.
Benton’s Madison Thompson was second in the triple jump with a 33-2. Natchitoches Central’s Ava Moses won with a 33-11.5.
Benton’s Brynan Huffman took second in the javelin with a 88-3. Tioga’s Isabelle Lonadier won with a 96-11.
Third-place finishers from parish schools in individual events were Airline’s Ke’Zyriah Sykes (100), Benton’s Jaliyah Player (200), Parkway’s Sofia Bright (800), Benton’s Tameara Player (shot put) and Benton’s Layla Davidson (triple jump).
Airline finished second in the 4X100 and 4X200 relays.
Boys
Airline’s Jayden Williams had one of the most impressive performances of the meet, winning the 800 in a blistering 1:52.79. West Monroe’s Tytan Johnson was a close second in 1:53.53.
West Monroe’s Jaxon Talley also had an outstanding performance with a winning throw of 216-0 in the javelin. Benton’s Malachi Zeigler was second with a 175-9.
Airline’s Lathan Woodland was a double winner. He took the 400 in 49.16 and the triple jump with a 44-4. Tioga’s Joel Doughty was second in the 400 in 49.33. Tioga’s Pierson Lockwood was a very close second in the triple jump with a 44-3.5.
Airline’s Preston Hughes took the 110 hurdles in 15.00. Benton’s Antonio Wright was second in 15.74.
Airline’s Terrance Hayes took the long jump with a 21-1.5. Lockwood was second with a 21-1.
Haughton’s Jamarion Gray won the 300 hurdles in 40.56. Northwood’s Keyion Taylor was second in 41.33.
Haughton’s Kyron Turner and Parkway’s Drailyn Jackson finished 1-2 in the high jump with jumps of 6-4 and 6-2, respectively.
Turner also finished second in the 100 in 10.93. Natchitoches Central’s Darryl Godfrey won in 10.75.
Benton’s Dalton Bliss won the 3,200 in 10:44.94. West Monroe’s Felix Williams was second in 10:49.66.
Parkway’s Isaac Ruliffson was second in the 1,600 in 4:47.46. Tioga’s Tyler Newland won in 4:42.56.
Benton’s Ryder Dodson finished a close second in the discus with a 153-9. West Monroe’s Marcus Thomas won with a 154-3.
Third-place finishers from parish schools in individual events were Parkway’s Pierce Dees (3,200), Benton’s Zeigler (shot put), Airline’s Maxwell Moore (discus) and Benton’s Caden Austin (pole vault).
Airline finished second in the 4X400 relay.
