A West Monroe woman has been arrested in connection with an April house fire in West Monroe.
On June 21, 2026, authorities arrested 24-year-old Toneisha Shaw in Dallas, Texas, on an outstanding arrest warrant obtained by the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (SFM). SFM deputies extradited Shaw to Ouachita Parish on June 25 and charged her with Insurance Fraud.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a house fire that occurred around 10 p.m. on April 9, 2026, in the 500 block of Mitchell Lane in West Monroe. The West Monroe Fire Department responded to the incident.
On April 13, the West Monroe Fire Prevention Bureau requested assistance from the SFM Fire Investigations Unit. As a result of the investigation, SFM investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Shaw.
This remains an active investigation, and no further details are being released at this time.
We’d like to thank the West Monroe Fire Department for their assistance in this investigation.
