The Keep Louisiana Beautiful Foundation (KLBF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Hart as its new Executive Director, along with the addition of four new members to the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Hart brings more than 15 years of small business and nonprofit leadership experience in fundraising, strategic planning, program development, and cultivating relationships that inspire investment in mission-driven work. She previously served as Executive Director of Branch Museum of Design in Richmond, VA where she advanced initiatives focused on the impact of design on the places where we live, work, and connect.
As Executive Director of the Keep Louisiana Beautiful Foundation, Hart will lead efforts to strengthen philanthropic support for KLB’s statewide programs and expand partnerships with businesses, foundations, individuals, and other stakeholders committed to creating cleaner, greener, and more resilient Louisiana communities.
“I am honored to serve as Executive Director of the Keep Louisiana Beautiful Foundation and to help build the resources, relationships, and partnerships needed to advance this important work across Louisiana,” said Heather Hart. “The Foundation plays a critical role in supporting the vision and impact of Keep Louisiana Beautiful, and I look forward to working closely with our Board, donors, partners, affiliates, and communities. Together, we will build on the strong foundation Susan Russell and the KLB team have established to advance key initiatives and expand our collective impact across the state.”
The Foundation also welcomes four new Board members whose professional expertise and community leadership will strengthen KLBF’s fundraising, outreach, and statewide engagement efforts:
Devan Corbello — Director of Public Relations, Visit Lake Charles
Corbello brings experience in destination marketing, tourism, community engagement, and economic development. His perspective will help strengthen the connection between environmental stewardship, quality of place, and Louisiana’s tourism industry.
Richard C. Green — Founder/CEO, Kick Start Carbon
Green brings business and entrepreneurial experience, with a focus on sustainability and carbon-related initiatives. His expertise will support the Foundation’s efforts to engage the private sector in innovative approaches to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
Jennifer Gomez — Founder/CEO, The Joyful Strategist
Gomez brings expertise in strategy, communications, organizational development, and relationship building. Her experience will help the Foundation strengthen its strategic approach to fundraising, partnerships, and organizational growth.
Erin Sandefur — Councilwoman, Livingston Parish
Sandefur brings valuable experience in local government and community leadership. As a Livingston Parish Councilwoman, she offers an important perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing communities across Louisiana and the role local leaders can play in advancing environmental initiatives.
“Having Heather lead the Foundation, along with the addition of these four talented board members, positions us for an exciting new chapter,” said Susan Russell, Executive Director of Keep Louisiana Beautiful. “Their collective experience will help us expand our reach and build stronger support for the work happening in communities throughout Louisiana.”
The Keep Louisiana Beautiful Foundation supports the mission and programs of Keep Louisiana Beautiful, a statewide network working to prevent litter, promote waste reduction and recycling, beautify communities, and engage Louisianans in environmental stewardship. Through philanthropic support and strategic partnerships, the Foundation helps provide resources for programs that empower individuals, schools, businesses, local governments, and communities to take action.
