Cross country: Parkway’s Robin 12th in prestigious Texas meet; Bossier’s Hodge wins Choudrant boys race

Parkway senior Brennan Robin finished 12th out of 385 runners in the Coach T – Marcus Invitational elite boys division Saturday in Denton, Texas.

Robin covered the 5K course at North Lakes Park in 15 minutes, 8 seconds. Andrew Esparza of Round Rock won in 14:30.

Esparza’s time ranks No. 1 in Texas and No. 2 in the nation, according to MileSplit.com.

Parkway finished 12th out of 47 teams. Other Panthers in the scoring were Braxton Thomas (87th), Aiden O’Nishea (130th), Isaac Ruliffson (145th) and Pierce Dees (175th).

Parkway’s Alaina Stoute finished fifth in the JV girls race.

Elsewhere, Bossier’s Quinton Hodge won the boys race in the Choudrant Aggie Invitational. Hodge covered the course the 3-mile course in 15:45.95. Ouachita Christian’s Levin James was second in 16:17.56.
