Former Airline star Kenny Darby had 12 catches for 96 yards and a touchdown in Kentucky’s 35-34 overtime victory over South Carolina Saturday in Columbia, S.C.
Five games into his college career, the freshman has 25 catches for 322 yards and three touchdowns.
The Wildcats (4-1) rallied from a 17-0 deficit.
Darby’s 17-yard touchdown catch with 11:59 left in the third quarter got Kentucky within 20-17.
Kentucky hosts LSU next Saturday.
Darby was a longtime LSU commit. He changed his commitment to Kentucky after Lane Kiffin was hired as the Tigers head coach.
