Bossier Sheriff’s deputies were serving an arrest warrant for Kevin Williams, 56, at a residence in the 2500 block of Spruce Drive in Bossier City. During the warrant service, Williams resisted deputies, resulting in an altercation.
During the struggle, Williams pulled a handgun from his waistband and sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Deputies immediately rendered medical aid, and Williams was transported by EMS to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.
Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators remain at the scene processing evidence.
The incident remains under investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
