HAUGHTON – Adrienne Elizabeth Crump-Drew, 43, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 near Austin, TX. Graveside services will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Paul Cemetery in Koran, LA with Reverend Hosie Thomas, Jr. officiating. Open visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Zion John H. Wilson Chapel, 3038 Hollywood Ave.
Adrienne was born on March 9, 1970 in Shreveport, LA. She was raised in Haughton, LA and spent some later time in Minden, LA. She went to Haughton High School where she was a standout basketball player and track star. After high school, she joined the US Army Reserves and also attended Northeast University and received a bachelor’s degree in computer literacy. She received her Masters Degree from Walden University. She later made her home in the state of Texas and worked as a middle school teacher in the Dallas, Houston, and Austin school districts. Her students will miss her dearly.
Adrienne was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Smallwood Crump Woodfork; father; Hewitt Crump, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carey Smallwood; and uncles, W.C. Smallwood, Gene Fuller, Sr., and Herchel Monroe, Sr.
She is survived by her younger brother, Bobby Woodfork, Jr. and his wife Amanda; aunts, Earnestine Monroe, Jessie Smallwood, Carrie Fuller; uncle, Carey Smallwood (Carolyn), Jr.; niece, Caylei; nephews, Cevon and Caden; and a host of other relatives and friends.
