The jury’s vote comes after current Registrar of Voters Janet Burks announced that she will officially retire from office on May 31, bringing to an end a 45-year career in the registrar’s office which began in 1971.

Agee said she is elated by the police jury’s vote and looks forward to her new job as Bossier’s Registrar of Voters. See more in our April 13 edition.
